Senior Designer

Design Force, Inc., the leading package and style guide design consultancy to the consumer product and entertainment industries is looking for a smart, passionate and extremely talented senior designer with extensive experience in package design and style guide design development. As a member of our design team, you will collaborate with our art directors and creative director to develop brand identity and package design systems for global consumer product brands as well as licensing program design assets and style guides for high profile entertainment properties.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Conceptualization and execution of strong visual design solutions that satisfy client/project objectives

• Uncovering, identifying and designing against current and emerging marketplace trends

• Taking projects from concept through final production

• Handling multiple projects simultaneously in an organized manner with acute attention to detail

• Participation in pre-design research and creative processes both collaboratively and independently

Mandatory Requirements:

• A BFA or advanced degree in graphic design or related field

• 3-5 years experience in a design agency environment developing package design and style guide design for consumer product and entertainment brands

• A portfolio that showcases your expertise in these disciplines, as well as your impeccable design sensibilities and your ability to adapt to a diversity of design styles and marketplace trends

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong presentation skills, and the ability to convey your thinking as it relates to project objectives

• An engaging personality and a positive attitude

• Thorough understanding of Mac OSX and expert knowledge of Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop

• Familiarity with MS Office and Keynote

How to Stand Out:

• Demonstrate that you have amazing drawing skills

• Demonstrate that you have the ability to develop unique, dynamic package structure concepts

• Show concept sketches along with your finished portfolio examples to illustrate your thought process

Business Development Specialist

Design Force, Inc., the leading package and style guide design consultancy to the consumer product and entertainment industries, is looking for a dedicated business development specialist, at the manager, director or VP level, to lead the day-to-day client acquisition activities of the agency. The business development specialist will report to the agency president and work directly with other senior team members.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Systematic and consistent identification of prospective clients through a combination of sales, marketing and public relations activities

• Introduction of the agency to prospective clients

• Assessing client need and potential fit with the agency and determining next steps

• Nurturing of early-stage opportunities

• Assisting the agency principals in closing late-stage opportunities

• Regular, timely reporting of activity to the agency president and senior team members through a structured reporting format

• Assisting in the development and updating of the agency’s business development plan

There are few mandatory requirements. However, preference will be given to candidates with experience selling highly-specialized creative, marketing or professional services to C-level buyers of large corporations and candidates with experience in the agency’s expertise.
