The Borgias

Set in 15th century Italy at the height of the Renaissance, Showtime’s Original Series, The Borgias, chronicles the corrupt rise of patriarch Rodrigo Borgia to the papacy. As the first season of the series was about to air, CBS Consumer Products engaged us to develop the property’s packaging program. Our solution leverages the color schemes and lavish, textured fabrics of this period rather than character-oriented imagery. We created a blister card, closed box and window box configurations as well as hang tags and a sewn in label. We then created a style guide to standardize the implementation of the packaging program across all licensed product categories.
